Thread: 80gb Hard Drive Full Over Night!

1. #1
I have a 80gb harddrive and I was only using 30gbs of it. Then I started downloading stuff off of suprnova over night that tottaled out to be 2 gb of disk space and I let it download over night. When I woke up it said my harddrive was full. I only had 535mb of disk space left. How could this be. I ran check disk and it didnt find any errors, does anybody have any idea?

Have you tried cleaning your temporary files?

possibly your bitt client found errors in the downloads and re-allocated numerous times...

do you have lots of copies of your downloads?

Something's takin up all the space...use an app like SequoiaView or something to get a visual representation of file sizes on your
hard drive.
Or you could just do a search (Windows Key + F), All files & Folders, More Advanced Options, What size is it >
Specify Size > Search for files larger than 1GB (1048576 KB). It should be obvious when the search is done which large files are unwanted,
or if it doesn't find anything, try lowering the search filesize a bit.
