Thread: Shawshank Redemption

This is not a movieworld topic.

I watched it again last night. Must be the greatest "man emotion" movie ever. No crying, no hugging, just about the triumph of hope.

Hope is a good thing, maybe the greatest of things.

Is the world as appreciative of this movie as I am?

To those who think that Stephen King is a horror novelist, get a clue. He also wrote "Stand by me".

Horror is a vehicle by which he expresses his "meaning of life".
Aren't we in the trust tree, thingey?

I don't know...after seeing it about 347 times in 28 days of rehab, the "Triumph and Hope" become "Grating & Rage-Inducing".

But yeah Shawshank is definitely in my top 5 favourite films, it kinda annoys me that it never really made it big at the cinemas because it came out at the same time as Forrest Gump
