Shaving Info
Basic Steps:
If you have long pubic hairs, trim hair with clippers or scissors. Electric clippers are best for this purpose.
Take a long, warm bath beforehand.
Before applying shaving cream, rinse area with cool water.
Apply shaving cream a few minutes before shaving to soften hairs. Consider using a shaving cream with additional conditioners or aloe.
Be sure to use a sharp blade. You might try using two new blades if you are shaving a large area.
When shaving, stroke an area no more than twice to reduce skin irritation. On the first stroke, go "with the grain" to remove most of the hair, then go "against the grain" for a smooth, close shave.
Be sure to clean the area afterwards with soap and water to reduce the risk of infection. Ideally, give the area a second cleansing using cotton balls and rubbing alcohol.
Some people find daily applying baby powder or talcum powder especially helpful after shaving to keep the area dry and irritation-free.
Practice clean hygiene after shaving, washing the area at least once a day to reduce sweat and oil build-up.
Go as long as possible between shavings to reduce skin irritation.
A few warnings:
People who allergic and react to some shaving creams: This area seems to have heightened sensitivity. Furthermore, if it does react, your natural sweat and the natural abrasion this area receives will most likely make your life a living hell [temporarily]. Consider avoiding shaving all together, or try warning tip #3. If you do decide to shave this area, make sure you use hypoallergenic shaving cream.
People with sensitive skin may wish to avoid shaving for the same reasons. Again, if you chose to shave, consider shaving cream made for sensitive skin and use a hypoallergenic moisturizer afterwards.
Consider closely trimming your hair instead. It provides many of the benefits of shaving without all the risks!
Letting hair grow out after shaving your pubic area is a bitch. The sharp hairs combined with the sensitive skin will make you realize justhowmuch movement happens in that area on an average day. Chaffing is nearly unavoidable.
Keeping #4 in mind, people who walk/run/exercise a lot might wish to skip shaving all together if you don't want to invest the time in regular shavings.

Female fans style pubic hair like Beckham's Mohican
By Shane Green, Herald Correspondent in Tokyo
June 18 2003
When David Beckham begins a brief visit to Japan today, he will see plenty of evidence of his rock star status: crowds of adoring fans; his Manchester United shirt on the backs of young Japanese; and the occasional bleached Mohican hairstyle he favoured during last year's World Cup here.
But there is one sign of his fame that will not be so obvious.
Japanese women are reportedly styling their pubic hair into a Beckham Mohican.
The Shukan Jitsuwa, one of Japan's racy and creative weekly magazines, carried an article on the trend this year, saying the Beckham look was particularly popular among female office workers.
"Some magazines have carried articles about styling your pubic hair and they referred to the Beckham look," the magazine quoted Minako, an office worker. "But we'd been doing it for a while before those stories came out."
Even if the trend wasn't established then, it probably is now.
The England captain is celebrated as a sex symbol who also happens to play soccer.
Beckham is similarly idolised in other parts of Asia, including China and Thailand, but it is in Japan that the love affair with Beckham is the most intense.
It blossomed a year ago when Japan was the co-host for the World Cup. While England fell in the quarter finals, Beckham has continued to kick goal after goal.
Corporate Japan has lined up to secure his services. He is the face for Vodafone's mobile phone J-phone, and sells chocolates for the Meiji Seika company, which last December created a three-metre chocolate statue of him.
Beckham and wife Victoria, the former Spice Girl, also feature in a advertising campaign for the Tokyo Beauty Centre, a contract reported to be worth 400 million yen (about $5 million) a year.
The Beckham appeal is complex. Yuji Kiminami, who edited the Japanese version of the coffee table book David Beckham: My Life, believes there are two reasons for Beckham's massive popularity.
"Beckham cherishes his family, and Japanese women like a man who takes good care of his wife and children," he said.
"Japanese people also tend to admire British traditional culture, and books related to Britain sell well in the Japanese market. I think Beckham would not be as popular if he was American."
Then there are his looks. "They are quite acceptable to Japanese people," Mr Kiminami said. "It is much easier for Japanese women to accept his moderately sexy appearance than Italian soccer player Francesco Totti, who is too sexy for Japanese women."

Special Tips for Men
Have you considered trimming hair closely, as apposed to shaving it? A lot less hassle is involved, with nearly the same effect.
For shaving your scrotum (sack) really consider an electric razor, or beard trimmer. The loose skin in this area is susceptible to nicking and cuts. And it'll bleed like a MF if you do slip with a razor.
If you do want to shave there's a new safety razor on the market from Schick, called the Protector. It's got the standard pivoting blade, comfort strip for a smooth shave and rubberized grip so it doesn't slip out of your hand. BUT the new feature is the safety wires which, "provide outstanding protection from nicks and cuts." These wires effectively wrap the blades to keep them evenly spaced and keep loose skin from getting caught between the blades (it hurts even typing this!
.
Plucking hair is for the foolish. It can lead to infection in this tightly confined area, not to mention the tears you'll shed.
To shave your penis shaft use care to avoid nicking as mentioned above by choosing to trim the hair closely with an electric razor or trimmer. Or try out the new Schick Protector safety razor.
The area between your butt cheeks (crack) can be effectively shaved with an electric razor. Since this area is prone to infection it's not a good idea to risk cutting the area deep in the crevice with a razor blade. If you must use a safety razor, consider the Protector razor as mentioned above.

Actually, I do that. After shaving the excess I trim down the keepers. But I don't use an electric, I know what I'm doing. And you know way to much about me.
