    Ah.

Well, then...I'll settle for a retraction.

A retraction of your assertion, I mean.

    Snopes disagrees.

Sean Penn is about as relevant as Joe "I don't think journalists should be anywhere allowed war" the plumber.

While I'm sure Mr. Penn only minds certain bad reporting and his solution is idiotic I do share a dislike of sloppy or inaccurate reporting.

That's because I made it up.
I figured that as a fan of Fox News you'd be used to fabricated/distorted stories.

Just trying to give you what you want, Kev....

I really hope he didn't say this with a serious face. Come on, the guy shuts down whole nets of television because they didn't give him the "political daily airtime" as stated in the Venezuela's legislation (which, btw, he changes as he pleases)... and if I remember it correctly, he was trying to extend his "legal" time as president. If that's not dictatorship, then what is?

I must have missed that one.

Anyway, it's the media giving his views an airing, and doing so non-critically.

Some hereabout claim that doesn't happen.

    Just saying.

I searched foxnews and strangely couldn't find any reference to the quote, although I did find several chirpy reports about him being a "war correspondent" in Israel for pajamas media, which is where the quote came from.
I’ll be honest with you. I don’t think journalists should be anywhere allowed war. I mean, you guys report where our troops are at. You report what’s happening day to day. You make a big deal out of it. I think it’s asinine. You know, I liked back in World War I and World War II when you’d go to the theater and you’d see your troops on, you know, the screen and everyone would be real excited and happy for’em. Now everyone’s got an opinion and wants to downer–and down soldiers. You know, American soldiers or Israeli soldiers.
I think media should be abolished from, uh, you know, reporting. You know, war is hell. And if you’re gonna sit there and say, “Well look at this atrocity,” well you don’t know the whole story behind it half the time, so I think the media should have no business in it.
