1. MSN Messenger won't work without Windows Messenger
2. If u delete/rename Windows Messenger, don't be surprised if Windows bring it back
3. Some MS software may require/need either/or MSN-WIN meseenger

this is just one of the wayes to "shoot" the messenger

close internet explorer, MS outlook/Outlook Express and exit out of messenger.
-Now type the following into a run line:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

not too sure if i wanna shoot the messenger....
some of my family uses outlook for e-mail, and messenger comes up whenever outlook opens (so they're tied together? ?) anyway, just got into messenger's options and fixed my prob....
(cancelled the 'run in background' feature and 'open with windows&#39

and if nikita says its not a good thing to do....well, what can i say, shes saved my bacon before
but thanks guys
