when i was buyin the pc i got right now...i gave the idea of not buyin the floppy some time... but i got it finally and i realized its still needed

yes cuz theyr cheap, and all comps have them, but not all comps have a usb

Yes, but only because other people who use my system can't live without them.

My wife still has a few devices that use them and I still put small programs and $pecial note$ on them for friends as well.

yeh i will prob always have a floppy, i use a few programs for diagnosing and low level formatting hard drives that run from floppys, also i use various windows boot discs to boot dodgy drives out of pc's i workin on that ive put in mine to sort out. you could put a smartcard reader in place of a floppy drive if you got a gaping hole!
