Yea you get 40MB/s, but for that price you will get far more site ratio with a dedicated 100Mbit.

Please explain. Last time I calculated, 100 megabits = 12.5 megabytes and 40 megabytes = 320 megabits. 100 megabits is over three (3) time less than 320 megabits.

Or perhaps it's the otherway around with the custom kernel of yours ?

40MB/s peak, not sustained.... The HW they are using won't do that. Not to mention they only have about 10TB BW budgeted per person
