I have 56k and i use kazaa lite of course and i download some movies so i have to WAIT a long time.

It usually takes me 26 hours to download a 700mb movie if its going at least 5kb per second.

HOw fast does it go for other connections like dsl, cable t1, and t3 and so on......

I have a 512 broadband connection but I still only get download speeds of 1-12 k per sec....What am I doing wrong.......I have changed the number in the firewall to 32656 as described in the last few replies but to no avail.....A 700mb download would take me days in some cases ....

Oh, and weejack, we have the same connection, don't bother changing ports etc, they have no affect on incoming speeds

If you want to speed your downloads up you could change the setting in the firewall from whatever it is to 32656 as shown here --- I know the number in the picture ids wrong it is 32656

    Once and for all

Stop giving pointless advice. How is changing your port going to speed up your incoming?
