this suddenly sounds very noobish but id like to know plz
ATI Radeon 9500 Pro 128mb DDR (normally 276mhz core, 270mhz memory... but can be overclocked to 375mhz core, 278mhz memory)
It's not the best, but i think it's awsome
VooDoo Banshee 16mb
Ohh noo!!! I make dribbles!!!
I have a Geforce 4 MMX440 128mb,
Wanting to upgrade soon though, don't know if I want ATI or Nvidia though.
Must upgrade as soon as unreal 2004 comes out.
"Where did he go, George, Where did he go?"
I could've sworn that it was only the 9500 non-Pro that this was possible with. Actually, I know the the 9500 could be unlocked through software, so maybe the BIOS flash trick for the Pro is something I missed...Originally posted by yNd aznbnet@28 October 2003 - 02:49
The very first 9500 pro's that came out were identical to the 9700 hardware wise, they just had 4 of the pipelines disabled. People were able to unlock the 4 extra pipes and flash with 9700 pro bios and it was practically a 9700 pro for a 9500 pro price.
Anyway, I have a Radeon 9500 Pro... Hmm...

Ahh, found this tidbit of info:
It is important to note that the BIOS update by itself will not improve the card at all. The update will merely allow you to overclock the card. So the test results from the BIOS flashed 9500 Pro should be identical to its previous stock state.
