    if its your harddrive which is making the noise
    there is an option on most pc's which allows you to put your harddrive in "silent mode"

    dam it my comp is huge and makes so much noise that fan is gay

    you could try a program callled 'speedfan' which allows you to control the speed ofyour fans, remember the lower the fan speed = less noise and higher temps, so keep a eye on them, i dont need to worry about this as i pc is almost silent

    I believe there is an options in Windows XP for this. Is it your harddrive which makes the noise? If so go into your PC'S bios and change settings for your hd.
