lol thanks anyway mate. it isnt half baffling me.
It'll be my own fault, I have no protection what so ever from things like virus'. :">

and why don't you have protection, I suggests you close down your computer and walk away slowly, take up stamps or gardening
or if you want to learn, get AVG or any av software and run 24/7, also look into getting a firewall, I like zone alarm both have free versions and are pretty simple to get going [/b][/quote]
lol. Thanks for the links, I'll look into it now.
am only 15 so dont really understand much about pc's in general, I can make websites (www.stars4everton.tk), and download things thats about it
. Am trying to find out what Bit Torrent is, and what all these things do like K-Dat, K-Sig and Supernode.
I do scan for virus' with housecalls online scanner once every so many months if thats any consolation.

Hi,
This may be a really silly question, one that normally I would just ignore but people keep uploading things from me that are not in my shared folder.
The latest example is..
ACDSee 5.5b
The filename is ACDSee 5.5b.exe and its size is 185Kb
I have Kazaa Lite ++ Version 2.4.1
I dont even know what that is, it certainly isnt in my shared folder and I dont think its anywere on my PC.
Its happend a couple of times over the past few days
Could somebody please shed some light on the matter.
Thanks in advance.
some things arrive in your shared folder as part of an archive file. (zip, arc, lhz, rar. etc)
open an archive and (certainly for games, well any software) you'll get all sorts of *.exes.
If they are being uploaded from you it's coz someone has searched for a missing/needed file and found you first.
Anyhoo why not google ACDsee, coz it's just digital camera software

Oh and check your settings, you may be sharing more than your shared folder
(though that's not really an issue, it's quite safe)
