Ah, American exceptionalism at it's finest.

Given that we import most of our oil, owe our asses to the Chinese and sell our goods (what little we still produce) to everyone else, it IS best that other countries like us.
This is what trying to be everyone's friend has led to. If we had simply brought our military home after World War 2 (or even better yet, never got involved in that stupid war at all), and just keep to our own affairs, building up our factories and making our products better and better, and let the world defend itself from the Soviets (which would have fallen by itself anyways because communism doesn't work), we wouldn't owe any debts, and we would still be making most of the manufactured goods for the whole world.

I can't make up my mind if you're a troll or you really lack basic knowledge of historical events.

Still waiting on what foreign policy specifics you feel are in our best interests.

Okay, what good did it do for the United States to get involved in World War 2? It led to us being stretched so thin that we have our military all around the world, and we still have bases in places like Japan and Germany, where the war has been over for many years. According to what I learned in high school history class, the Japanese attack on Hawaii was really not an unprovoked attack. If we had steered clear of getting involved in antagonizing them and the Germans, they probably wouldn't have bothered with us. They already had their hands full at the time, and widening the war to include us was a last resort for them.

And we should have kept out of the Korean war, the Vietnam War, and all of the Persian Gulf wars.

    Specifics? here you go...

    1. Bring our military home from everywhere in the world (including our bases in Europe and Japan). Abandon the Iraq and Afghanistan wars immediately. We don't have the guts to do what nees to be done to win them, so consider them a lost cause and abandon them. Focus on what we need for the actual defense of our borders and coastlines, and cut the spending on anything we don't need for that purpose.

    2. Resign from and abandon the U.N., the W.T.O., treaties, etc., and cut off all foreign aid to everyone-- no exceptions!

    3. Stop paying any interest or principal on all of our national debts. We already owe so much we can't pay them back anyways, so stop trying to pay them back. Stop basing our government and the economy on debt.

    4. Stop paying for all entitlement programs-- Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, etc. Roll back taxes to a minimal level-- just enough to provide for a mutual defense program. Get rid of most of the federal agencies (E.P.A., F.D.A., U.S.D.A., etc.), and allow states to police themselves instead. End all federal regulation of private businesses. Let the free market sort things out for itself.

What do you think so far? Would you vote for me?
