Norton V The Rest?

I have been using Norton for a long time; I just decided to change to Zone alarms
For my Fire wall and scanning… (A foe game did not like Norton)

I need to know what the best Fire wall a Scanner is about.
Any Opinion or tip on getting Norton to work would be grit…
