    "Been asked before"

I can't see how you can do that when everytime you go online your IP is given to you by your ISP,unless you never come off.

You cant have a static ip unless your isp gives you one. Static ip addresses are becoming more scarce everyday. Now that they have ipv6 addressing going into affect it will be easier to get an address that doenst change.

You can also use some type of dynamic ip addressing tool that allows you at least know your ip address at all times even when it does change.

Dynamic or dhcp addressing sucks, static ip addresses rule. B)

yes, but then it would be illegal and won't take a long time for the ISP to figure out. However, if a static IP was assigned to location/PC/Customer by the ISP, there is a trick were u can show a different IP to the outside world and neither the ISP nor the connections u make to can figure out (unless the hack the PC). Best of all, this tip is LEGAL.

    Thanks for the advice nikita69.
The reason that I asked about the program was that my ISP told me that to have a fixed IP address would cost me 50 swiss francs a month.
    (That's £22 or 37$ BTW).

Why would you want a static IP, unless you plan on setting up an FTP server from your PC?

I like the idea of changing IP's, with all the rumors that members here are being listed on the "kazaa ban list", based on their IPs.
