I recently downloaded:
Windows_XP_Pro_Corporate_Final.exe (approx. 504 MB)
and
Windows XP Pro English V2600.exe (approx. 500 MB)
I can't figure out how to install either of them. I click on either exe file and the comand prompt pops up and then dissapears and that's all. I've tried burning the file to a cd and running the exe off the cd, but it still doesn't take.
It doesn't say anywhere in the file descriptions that it is an image file of sorts. I'm running out of ideas fast and I really want to have XP pro instead of my current Windows 2000 Pro.
Any ideas???

bets on how many errors that cdmage comes up with, 5-50 is 2 to 1- 51-to 75 is 1&1/2 to 1 and 100 + errors is just 1 to 1
I suggest you get it off suprnova or emule, something that important, not worth a dodgy download from kazaa

rename the .exe to .iso and see if you can burn the file as cd image or use a cd image emulator to see if it is a cd image.
