And why is that old wise owl? Why does it not suprise you that i am proud to be English as much as you are proud to be Scottish? I feel British when i am abroad because it says so on my passport, but when i am at home i feel English.

can't mind the exact statistic but it's something like 80% of people that live in England would declare their English before British

JP With your knowledge of such things secular and non-secular, could you advise me on my position as regards the following? Having being an ex member of the dubious profession of teaching and a freethinker, therefore questionably a layman. Would this disqualify me from the possibility of holding the Scottish Titular position of 'LORD OF THE ERECTIONS'? If not, the fact that I am taking Bromide as medication, can I am sure, be overcome. Would it then be possible for me to apply for this title. Thank you in anticipation.

You could try a bromide/viagra mix. This I think would circumnavigate some of the problems. The downside is you wouldn't know if you were coming or going.

I really ought to have posted that in JP's pun thread.

As to titular rights, I will leave that to JP as he seems to know about these things.

Sorry I have done that one Biggles. By the way have you got planning permission for this alleged inferiority complex? Does it involve building private houses as part of the equation?

I think as part of a local bylaw all inferiority complexes have to include mixed social housing as well as drop in centres for the homeless, bored teens and expectant mothers. The obligatory mall goes on top. Inferiority complexes are just not what they used to be. There was a time you could get by with a simple tug of the forelock.

I should have guessed you had already utilised the proferred pun a tad too obvious.

As planning permission is still ongoing, I suppose the delivery of a brown paper bag is out of the question.

It doesn't come as much of a surprise anyway.
And why is that old wise owl? Why does it not suprise you that i am proud to be English as much as you are proud to be Scottish? I feel British when i am abroad because it says so on my passport, but when i am at home i feel English. [/b][/quote]
Simply because I had taken you to be proud of your English roots. I had no reason for this other than a feeling. More a sense of someone who was passionate about his country than anything else.

However if that is your attitude - feck off you arrogant jingoistic sassenach bastard, you may spend your time spoiling for a fight and justifying it by your paranoia, I do not.
