I'm thinking of creating a DB to organise my HDD's. Basically I want to know what releases are on what drives.

I want to query a pre then tell me the filename, and what drive it's on. Also want to creat a form to enter the pres in.

Currently looking into MS Access, might look into MySQL to do this. I've only mucked around with basics and want this to be my main starting project.

Is this a good way of going around it? Any tips, suggestion, Resources?

    Thanks.

EDIT:: Something similar to what the AGBX chans do, only the reqID number would be replaced with drive number. Apparently this type of db is used for Uni's or Server farms to know what;s on their tape drives.

Well, just a google docs spreadsheet and ctrl-f gets the job done for me.

But if you wanna go with a database, MySQL is unnecessary for this particular task
