I was wondering if there was any way, other than a download manager, to download parts of the Knoppix distro in "chunks" (Is that the word?). I ask because I would like to experiment with this, but I am a dial-up user so I can download 600 MB all at one time.

you could either use the resume feature in most download managers or buy yourself a copy.

http://www.xplinux.biz/shop/ that is meant to be reliable and is very cheap.

knoppix will set you back a whoopin £2.99 which will save burning your 56k modem.

Just download knoppix from the torrent link on their site. The bittorent method gives you crazy bandwitdh compared to the mirror downloads and stuff.

    Download via BitTorrent: http://torrent.unix-ag.uni-kl.de:6969/

Just get FlashGet. You're going to need it, if you're doing what we're all doing.

    On another note.
I downloaded it all 699.9MB but now my Nero says that its 701MB and that I need a bigger CD.
My CD-Rom doesn't support any bigger discs.

    What to do?

overburn the disc it should easily be able to fit 701mb onto a single disk.

there is an option in the nero menu to set overburning.
