mass effect 2- question how to change party member

question: how do u play the other players in party except sheperd in mass effect 2. in mass effect 1 u could change to any other species in the party but in mass effect 2 i cant find how to do so. so how?

You select who you want to be in your group before you land on a planet/start a mission.

I think he means how to play with the other party members, and not controlling solely Shepard. I've finished the game, and I think that's not possible, unless it was too obvious and I couldn't find out where to do it.

ME1 you couldn't change to anyone else as party leader (unless there is a hack for PC?), you are always always Shepard. Same with ME2.

As in ME2 for squad members you cannot change them till the later stages of the game.

Well upon closer inspection he's referring to something you could do in ME1, but not ME2.

The party control system is nearly identical in both games, so I'm not sure what he's getting at there..

Nope, you're always Shepherd...with one exception. Don't worry, you won't miss it.

This really bugged me when I played ME1. In most Bioware games you can toggle who you control so I wasn't expecting to only play as Shepard.

Meh, your party members are only there for their powers anyways... and since their powers are fired from YOU (how much sense does that make?) it doesn't particularly matter what corner they're jerking off in.
