Although it's tempting to attribute the proliferation of Taco Bell to illegal immigrants, it would be a mistake.
Taco Bell is another terrifying matter altogether.
Think Soylent Green with more seasoning.
Oddly, this also explains the Kardashian sisters.
"I am the one who knocks."- Heisenberg
I just figured it was a fiendish Mexican plot to overthrow the country. First it's salsa, then millions of Taco Bells, then all of a repentino, we're speaking Espanol and la celebración de cinco de mayo.
Luckily, the infiltration of the Kardashians backfired, or they would have already won.
...or, maybe this whole fear of Mexican immigration is completely overblown and sill.![]()
In the context of this discussion (not being able to tell the differences between legal and illegal Mexicans), it is a parody that "ALL people resembling, or ,having ties to Taco Bell are invading. They have gotten us to accept their salsas, corn chips, and hot Latino women.
I am playing with thread in a "alternate universe" style than continuing to try to take this too seriously.
I honestly feel that there needs to be a better way that migrant workers can come here legally such as a worker program where employers sponsor workers and they get official visas. If they know they will be allowed back to work chances are they will return home instead of disappearing, just a theory.
The law isn't a mirror image of the federal law despite having many similarities.
My concern is the same as others have already said, that it will lead to racial profiling. One doesn't even have to have committed an arrestable offense to be challenged, breaking a local ordinance like not having your grass cut can lead to a challenge.
I'm guessing most police officers will behave righteously, it's the others that will abuse it. I vaguely remember how coloreds were treated by southern sheriffs, I can see how Latin looking folk WILL suffer harassment.

What's your view on the bit where citizens can sue law enforcement agencies as well as other agencies if they feel they are not applying the law with gusto? I'm wondering if doctors in emergency rooms will need a new line of liability insurance. What about faith groups that run shelters or food kitchens?
