Both are possible. If you're able to temporarily remove the router and get a direct connection, do so and try again. You'd discard one of them.
Dang it, it's the router. Other than a little hitch with grabbing an IP from the modem, my PC was able to painlessly browse to torrentz.com. So what in DD-WRT could possibly be blocking torrentz.com?

Never had one, so I couldn't tell. But you could search for info, this looks like a good place to start:
    www.dd-wrt.com/wiki

If you're feeling adventurous, you could even reset all its settings and change them one by one to see what causes the problem.

Alright, thank you very much, for your time and patience. I'll be heading right over to their forums

Well, I've gotten an update. Now I can partially connect, although it gives me an HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permenantly, then it tried to redirect me to http://209.44.114.225:6666/banned. Is it actually possible that I could be banned from torrentz.com? If so, how can I get unbanned?

Clear your cookies and change your IP. That should suffice unless they've banned your whole range.

Ok, will do. In the mean time though, that still doesn't make sense. I mean, I could access torrentz.com if I bypassed my DD-WRT router.

Well, still no luck. Does anyone have any ideas?
