there's no problem using both of them, well i prefer using both firefox as well as chrome, firefox has huge library of addons, themes and plugins, whereas chrome also have plugins and apps support which are unique in themselves, so they both works wonderful for me

atleast helps me to get rid of Internet Explorer, lol

You can use Chromium (there are compiled versions available on Softpedia) if you dislike Google's branding so much, although as far as I've been told there's no functional difference.
