I found this post on a slashdot poll. i think some people might find it quite funny.

Here is what went through my mind during that movie:
"So machines have emotions, well no wonder they got out of control and enslaved the human race. Emotions aren't doing us much good either these days"
"Aw that poor little girl never got her suitcase"
"so Neo can exert some form of control inside the matrix even while he is outside. I'm guessing one of the jacks on his body is a bluetooth or 802.11b adaptor"
"Isn't that the heavy metal club from the beginning of xXx?"
"/home/architect root$ nohup neo"
"The Oracle is really obsessed with candy"
"Heh, he tossed his cookies"
"Sure Neo, take your time reflecting, we aren't on any kind of schedule here"
"Metal Gears! everywhere! Crap I'm having flashbacks of 'Sons of Liberty' again"
"Come on Neo, does Real World Smith have to recite his entire dialog from the first movie before you figure out who he is?"
"Oh for crying out loud, Neo == Muad'Dib. if they set off a stone burner I'm going home"
"Those sentinels would be much more effective if their attack plan did not include bunching up in easy to target groups and flying in pointless patterns"
"Note to self: if you ever design a mechwarrier suit, make sure to include some kind of protection for the pilot rather than making him sit on the front like a hood ornament on a tank"
"That hovercraft maneuvers surprisingly well for something that has lost the majority of its engines"
"Wait don't the sentinels have lasers? Did they forget they had those?"
"Oh I see, the all intelligent machines came up with a convoluted way to use humans as batteries rather than just BUILD A TALL TOWER TO PUT THE SOLAR PANEL ON???!!!"
"Ok, I'm done being shocked and sad. You really just need to shut up and die now"
"Wow, Andross (of Star Fox fame) really gets around. Shoot for the eyes, Neo"
"If either one of these two goes Super Saiyan, I'm going home."
"Agent Smith's face is made entirely of silly putty"
"You just had to leave it open for a sequel didn't you?"
"Overall a pretty good movie, much better than most internet reviews made it out to be."
"However, hands down, worst choice of credit music ever"

Hey man! That was actually pretty funny!! Never thought about things quite like that..though I also wondered why the mechwarriors in Zion had to be on the hoods too..and Neo IS a bit slow for the One isn't he? Must be one of the many qualifications eh?! And yes...Niobe CAN fly a ship without engines! Didn't you know that everthing in the mvoies is real?!?! LOL!

i was wondering about this... All the ships have a EPS (?-that thing that blasts out all electric machines) but there is not one in Zion?!?!?!

Most of the ships had EMPs but I can think of many reasons why the docking area didn't have one...
1. Zion is probably fairly tight on particular resources, limiting the numbers of EMPs that they can possess. Although Zion looked pretty advanced i'd imagine most of it is fairly old kit they can just keep maintained that survived from the war against the machines, particularly if you note how scruffy some of their clothes are.
2. It was thought that as many ships as possible would be required to take out the sentinels as they advanced using the plan in Reloaded, so as many EMPs (to cover the largest area possible) as possible were taken with the ships...which were then taken out by Bane (controlled by agent smith of course).
3. Zion was not expecting an attack from above by the machines drilling down, as previous zions had been wiped out, so no EMPs would have been placed in the dock. Any EMPs is Zion would have been used for perimeter defence, and these would have been out of range for the dock, and unable to be triggered once the machines had destroyed or severely damaged the control centres, therefore preventing their use later in the battle for the dock against machines pouring through the gates.
4. Any EMPs positioned in the dock would wipe out any active machinery in the dock that Zion could use against the machines, including their APUs. This happened in the film and some of the people in Zion weren't too happy about this as it merely wiped out the remaining defences when plenty more sentinels remained. These would have wiped out the people of Zion if it hadn't been for the truce.
A similar argument of poorer technology and lack of repair could explain the lack of driver protection on the APUs, particularly if they were older models scrapped before the war that were rebuilt as far as possible. Also note that there seemed to be very little glass in Zion (and therefore may have been little to produce protective covering as seen on many modern vehicles) and extensive use of metal for this purpose would have resulted in reduced visibility, reducing the APUs effectiveness. It may also have been thought that the machines simply could not penetrate that deep into Zion due to the defence systems on the perimeter so better quality fighting vehicles were not required. The defences were of course circumvented by the machines digging.
Anyway, I'd better stop myself before I write an even longer essay...
Must admit some of that stuff included good points though (and I'm not going to spend more time arguing about the rest of it). I thought in the movie that Neo was a little slow working out that Bane was Smith... although the Oracle did comment in the Matrix that he wasn't too bright.
