Must be for YouTube to have bragging rights (my p is "bigger" than your p), with little technology or the infrastructure in place to handle 4K video. YouTube can barely serve up HD now. I suppose the 4K would be useful for people who live in the Bay area, have a 1 Gb connection and want to enjoy those videos of annoyingly clever kids and cutesy kittens on their own home IMAX screen. Or Google is thinking 10 years ahead to when they control all digital film distribution on the planet…
