"I just remembered something that happened a long time ago."
Thanks, will take a look.
Problem with this site is you must purchase the software. Anyone know of any free stuff that is effective?

You want the Malwarebytes FREE version
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
As it says in the guide it can often be difficult to get the Rkill file to start. When you have placed it on the desktop, reboot. The split-second the desktop shows back on the screen start clicking the rkill file.
Thanks Stan, will give it a try.
Stan, he downloaded the program and apparently removed the program but is having problems. The computer will connect to the net, instant messengers will connect and function, but the browser will not open any site. I can't find the problem. Any idea what I am missing?

Have you redone parts 4,5 6 and 7 of the guide. Rather think you are still trying to connect with a browser through a proxy.

Thanks Stan but 404 ERROR: Page Not Found.
Best i can come up with is to run Malewarebytes again. It may not have removed all the infection first time.
Make sure you reboot afterwards.
