how come hosted pics show up as links when quoted ?

I think that's intentional, to prevent thread pages from becoming very long when several people have quoted a post with a big image.

Edit: And by looking at this post, at least in the default style, it can be difficult to see links I embedded into text.

Some of the links get underlined and some do not, of course links are suppose to all have underlines so I hope we can get this fixed soon...

Fixed.

Issue is back again.

And if I quote your post, it still doesn't display both of the nested quoted inside (ie it decided to not automatically quote my post, I manually added it)
