SABnzbd? I've been using it for about 6months now. Takes some getting used to if you're used to the traditional client.

Been using this for some time now and absolutely satisfied with it, considering I was an absolute usenet-n00b till very recently.
    Can you feel the LOVE

Grabit is probably OK for a beginner who just wants to try out a free usenet server. Although Grabit is outdated and buggy (and hard on had disks IMO), it's free, easy to learn, and gets the job done.

Unzbin and Newsflash Plus might be better choices in a free client for a beginner. Sabnzbd is great but it's not very intuitive for most people who aren't used to dealing with web/browser applications.

Usenet Explorer is the most sophisticated in a good sense client over there with lots "lots" of features.. But it is not for i-love-only-nzb pussies.

That Wikipedia page is bullshit. Some asshole admins at Wikipedia have deleted the pages for a lot of news clients. Compare that page to an old version:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?...ldid=145495669

Notice all the titles in red. Those clients are not in the current page. Most were once complete articles and are now gone. Alt.binz was deleted. Binary News Reaper, Ninan, Newsreactor, and many other binary clients have been deleted. Yeah, I'm pissed off because I worked on a lot of them, only to have the newsreader pages labeled "not notable" and deleted by some ignorant staff menber (or maybe someone who works a day job in the record or movie industry?). This is why I stopped wasting my time with Wikipedia long ago.

.......... But back to the original question. There ae many tutorials available for Grabit, as it's been around so long.
