I know I know, you see invite requests all the time "blah blah community and packs and pre times blah blah blah" but end of the day, those simple things really are what make me enjoy it.
Excuse my naïveté but I can't see how any pack could make a tracker's content improve. What is so great about the packs there; and how are FTN's packs better than say SCC's packs?

You don't even need good connection. I have only 0.5MBit up and have about 1.8 ratio just by mainly using the general section. All the free leech stuff, maybe 200MB in programs and not a single mp3 since I prefer FLAC. Just seed and you'll be ok.

It's hard to argue that it isn't a special tracker, has loads of good content, great pre-times and is for sure somewhat elitist. You have a small active liberal laid back community comprised of experienced torrenters that feel blessed to be there or and/or entitled to say what they feel every post they make. Now that get's a little annoying for it kind of at times feels like no one really gives a shit about others posts and opinions. Coming from the NY area i would rather see more interaction than the constant ass kissing from new members hoping to get the higher ups attention. What perplexes me is no one really questions the high monthly donation requirements but they will come up with 50 different issues or additions that could to make the place even "cooler" and lately every month were are reminded how it may all end if that donation percentage isn't reached. Naturally this distresses the freeloaders, constant donors and the sensitive liberals. There's definetly a west coast hippy type feel in there and i would never want any member there backing me up if i was about to get into a fight lol. Much rather have some shady PT or Iplay Metal steel pipe wielding cats backing me up. That being said it's still a relaxing tracker to use if you have a fast connection, deep pockets and don't mind at times seeding for several days. I would surely miss it if it disapeared tomorrow.

No ringhunter. I seed everything I download, so I download... anything... bar the odd game(Star wars force unleashed *grumbles*), and I still have enough upload to spare at the end (maybe 4 or 5 GB) that I don't have to worry about being banned for downloading, and still have enough room to download even without seeding back for a while, and then just seed what I've downloaded...

2 parts of that are true. Your right, it is a special tracker, and it is elitist It has the EXACT same content as every other 0day tracker. The pre-times are slower than TL or RevTT. The community is a good bt community. A good bt community seems to be one with lots of posters. In every other forum I frequent, not ONE of them has people iwth 1000 posts or 2000 posts, all from playing stupid counting games, and yet here that's how we judge a commmunity. Sure, the IRC is good fun, but there's plenty of better ones out there. These forums are better than FTN's...

It is. Which is actually confusing the heck out of me, right now, considering Night0wl himself also commented on maintaining a ratio there. I mean, I know I'm not a stellar seeder (the oldest torrent in my client goes back to 12/4/2009, an ScT torrent for nostalgia) but I simply don't see a reason to care about ratio there. I can't even tell what my ratio is, though, I could just tally up the torrent history numbers.
    Ellipses go here.
