That article was the best you could find to prove your spyware theory? FFS the guy waffled on for ages but all he was saying is that Musicmatch sends it's registration key to the server. Ooh crikey!! Panic. You don't even need the registered version, the basic unregistered version is fine.

There is not to my knowledge, any other app that compares incomplete or misspelt id2/3 tags against a database, then fills in the blanks. It is a dream of an app for those who download large amounts of mp3 files off the internet, ie. most of us.

I use Winamp 2.9 for listening to music but Musicmatch for file tagging my downloads. I recommend other people give it a try, but at the end of the day couldn't give a sh1t.
