    ja.

My personal favourite method of installing windaes is using the iso mounted on a virtual drive, no fannying about formatting usb stuff or burning disks.

I think that's what it means by boot from USB FD /CD.

    It's pretty old.
    Now go away.

    to summarize lyke:

    usb boot is enabled
wake on usb (if ewe have it) is enabled
quick and quiet boot are dissabled
ewe've created the bootable usb drive using a ubuntu .iso (for the correct architecture .eg x86 etc) using the third party pendrivetool
ewe've tried different usb ports (and another usb stick if you have one)
ewe've tried a different linux distro like opensuse (and using the same pendrive tool)

    lyke?

(i'd say upgrade the bios for sure too but good luck with it being sharp

Take the hard disk out, plug it into your desktop using the sata to usb connector that everyone should have one of and then install from the disk on the desktop.

What, ewe don't have a sata to usb connector? I have and it's orsumly handy (does IDE too)
