I knew that, well done anyway, I did a 60 mile bike ride in about 6 hours stoping a lot.
Guessing since you've been away awhile, you've not been accustomed to posts by the former J-Dye. He creates an account every day making non-sensical posts, even to chavis standards. He always keeps the name simple, and almost always has some random avatar. Some of his "likes" include math, java, two period interludes and Dummies Guides. He'll make anywhere between a few to a dozen posts, and is usually banned (and posts removed) before the day is up. Later on, the arrow you drew will just point to Mulder's post, though personally I think it'll be more contextually accurate.
If this is already known to you, then fuck.

Everything is brought to you by Fjohürs Lykkewe.
Specialized makes some nice bikes.I would suggest though that unless you are doing/planning some doing some full-on loaded down with panniers touring, to forgo the triple if you ever upgrade.
Most bikes now having a ten speed cassette and with a 39 tooth inner ring on the front you could achieve almost the same thing(extremely low bailout gearing) running a 12-28 and by ridding yourself of the long cage rear derailleur tighten up your shifting and reduce wear quite a bit.
As for concerns about speed as with any exercise the real accomplishment isn't how fast ,how far ,how much , but simply that you did it.
Anyway I always liked this Prefontaine quote "The real reason to run a race is not to win the race but to test the limits of the human heart". One of the reasons that we tend to be more enamoured with underdogs than favourites.
Respect my lack of authority.
