    Next great fanboi show?

AMC's Fall series The Walking Dead, based on Robert Kirkman's incredibly popular comic book series that began in 2003 published by Image Comics, tells the story of the weeks and months that follow a pandemic zombie apocalypse. Old world Sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) travels with his family and a small group of survivors, constantly in search of a safe and secure home. Frank Darabont directed the pilot episode, which debuts on the network on Halloween( October 31).

So is this is obviously derivative of 28 Days Later but so what?
Great use of music btw .

Lets hope this is as good as dead set, now that zombie series was great. In fact I could do with another season of dead set.

I just watched Dead Set as well .Really disappointed in the ending ,unless the whole thing was meant as an homage to Romero.

    Spoiler: Show

I'd say the only original thing about it was the Reality show setting if it hadn't already been done to death(pun intended) as well.

I was going to watch The Walking Dead last night but seems my cable company doesn't AMC so I'm going to have to download it first.
I figure it's got a decent chance of being well ...decent since the writer/creator is the same guy ( Frank Darabont) who wrote the script to The Shawshank Redemption and he has a history in Horror movies..

Thus far it has followed the comic, let's hope it continues. The first episode was awesome, reminiscent of Romero which is great in itself

hmm, well one thing is good with us humans! Everything is relative!! it depends on the point of view and the taste of the person.
For example the first scene that Eazil above me said he didn't like, i loved it!
The series starts great, breaking all taboos and standards!
American tv would never (or rarely) show you a little girl getting shot in the head and in slow motion with all the blood etc etc. And this is exactly what this show gives you from the get go!
I liked the thing it didn't conform and took off the beaten track.
Let's hope it will continue surprising us in a good way.
I'm curious to see the second episode tonight!
