    should i get satelite? i know you can havk it but i dont want my tv going out everytime it rains.

    and does satelite really go out when it rains?

    somtimes, but only for a sec or two, just get a bigger dish or a cover, I bought a 21" sony dual lnb for 50 bucks

    sattelitte rules in the UK, never goes out, ever, well its digital and the picture quality is awesome on my 42 inch plasma screen ^_^

    where is it that you live because i know in many countries sattelitte is rather poor (india for example) and it doesnt rain that much in the UK

    I live in Florida rains almost ever day
    it only goes out for a sec or two, and only if its a tremendous down poor, but I got a slightly bigger dish, it has yet to go out

    I never had any troubles with satellite loosing signal, at least not when it rained. It did however loose signal when it snowed, but only because the whole dish was covered in snow.

    I have since went to cable though, because of the internet, only 29.95 if you subscribe to cable and its 15 dollars more a month without having cable, and since the satellite and cable bills where about the same and had pretty much the same channels, it was just more economical to just have cable.

    And before anyone mentions it, the cheapest DSL line here is 50 a month, so either way I would be better off with cable.

    Anyway, you might want to think about that if you use cable internet, before switching to satellite.
