Commandos

i download commandos_ammo_pack . i remember playing this great game (behind enemy line) 3years ago. i love strategy game like this.
but the problem today is, i cant run it on my pc now. i have google, and read certain comment about run as compatibility mode (98/me etc..)
i have tried it but not success it still not showing any graphic, only sound

i heard about directx 6 (or something..) i remember i have install that too (since i download 3 commandos full version! one of them include that directx) but still the same..i can see menu at least, i can go to options, but when i click play (or skirmish/mission, i forget) still the same..only black page & sound..

can any games expert help me? i love to play this again!

If it doesn't, looks like your only bet is installing Windows 95 inside a virtual machine.
