Thread: Is My Computer Getting To Hot

  1. #51
Ok I left my computer on over night to see how much cooler it is staying and here are my results : (Motherboard before: 90 degress / Motherboard after: 81 degress) (Cpu before: 129 Degress / Cpu after: 90 degress) (Aux before: 72 degress / Aux after: 68 degress).

As you can see my system got way cooler. I now have a coolmaster fan and heatsink on my processor and a 80mm cooler master blowing air out of my system. My old heatsink and fan ran at 3709 RPM The new one runs at 4219 RPM. Now in the specs it says I have a chasiss? It is running at 2679.

I am happy to say that my computer hasnt automaticly restarted and I havnt got any errors yet.

While I was at the store I got a Msi CR52-M. It burns cds in 2:00.

That sounds like a big improvement. What model heatsink is that?

    Big improvement?

    That's a bloody miracle.

    A 40 some % improvement.

Really, do tell, what is this piece of kit that is working so well?

If you work it out in absolute temps, the cpu temp has dropped from 327K to 305K, an improvment of about 6.75%.

But of course neither of those figures is really meaningful considering so many changed variables.

    Really?

The reviews wouldn't lead me to expect such a dramatic drop in temps.

    Well done, then.

Is it as quiet as they claim?

It is almost totally silent! Way less sound coming from it then my old one. While I was out shopping I also got a cd burner.
