    hello people
    i am looking for free web hosts with php and mysql that offers fantastico or softolicious auto installers??? and not to mention with great uptimes high on space and bandwidth and internet FTP software?

    but its crappy with speeds so i probably will not opt for that one

    I use StoneRocket its awesome.
    It has Varied hosting plans according to needs.
    U need to make certain number of good post to get eligible for a particular plan but its worth it.

    Why do you need fantastico? It's so damn easy to manually install all the applications it delivers.

    the FTP program i use dosent allow me to upload more then 5MB archives what i do is to manually unzip and then zipping every file folder inside that takes a lot of time and hassle

    But is that a server restriction, or a restriction on your client?
    Which FTP client are you using?

    its a client restriction i use net2ftp
