Taken from tha BBC website this morning,
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-11707560
The 550,000 Indigenous Australians make up 2.7% of the population.
They suffer disproportionately high rates of unemployment, imprisonment, drug abuse, alcoholism and disease.
Does this ring a bell about the white mans' treatment of indigenous people?

At least he had the right haircut.
Is there anything contained in that clip that represents your point? I watched the first 5 minutes and saw nothing to support it. Please state the time at which the obvious racism begins.

    No.

Native Americans here have a disproportionately high rate of unemployment, drug abuse, and alcoholism but it isn't because someone is holding them back. They have the same options as white folks, as well as loads of options that others don't (i.e. - educational scholarships, tax exemptions, etc.) but most choose not to take advantage. Why? I dunno, ask them.... but don't suggest that it's the fault of someone else.

I watched the entire video-- it's quite long-- and besides the extremely liberal reporter attacking him and bullying him and refusing to accept any of the sheriff's answers, there's nothing there at all. Nothing to support what Leet is suggesting.

Leet, did you even watch the video before you posted this thread?
Who can take your money and give it to someone else? The Government Can! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO2eh...layer_embedded

So you would have no qualms about 'outsiders' coming in and gradually taking 'your land' off you, by whatever means?

Sorry, I don't understand what you're tiptoeing around or trying to get me to stumble in to.

What do you mean by "outsiders", "your land", and "by whatever means". Pose a question or don't.

I meant how would you like someone to come and force you off your land? I was being cagey to try and avoid racism.
Modern Americans should learn a lesson from the British Empire and to a certain extent other Empires(not the cinemas). You cant subjugate people and not expect them to come back later and bite you where it hurts. Paying the Native Americans or the Australian Aborigines 'pocket money' will not make their gripe go away. Why do you think they go on drink and drugs. Could it be they have a very large problem and they have yet to find a solution. The Palestinians are an example of what I am trying to say.

Sorry I have strayed off the subject a bit. However you look at it the Arizona action is racialist.

I'm not going to argue with you. I've been a victim of your bias on many occasion. If you don't believe he's a racist, or has racist tendencies, that's your OPINION. Let whoever decides to watch the video choose for themselves.

Here, let me ask you this, why wouldn't the sheriff be held responsible for who he decides to hang out with outside of work? The interview in question, from the beginning of the segment, was broadcasted in Tennessee. Also, you do realize he is a public figure right? If he were hanging out with prostitutes after work, wouldn't that be seen as "unethical"?

Thanks for watching. Everyone has a right to their own opinion. It would be un-American for me not to grant you that.
