There's no real way to know. Assume they do and act accordingly, if you must.

May eb yes, at least we can expect that they log the IPs of the corresponding downloads.

How about Megaupload? They don't answer emails!

I wouldn't attach too much significance to their email. They surely do log the IP.

ALL filehosts log ips and attach to files.
The last thing MF wants is for some law enforcement agency to go raid their servers related to CP and have to say "No logs, lol!" They'd probably end up in prison.
