Its strong a efficent for sure, yet I find it nothing but hilarious that "Microsoft Security Essentials" exist. Instead of patching their OS, they make a separate security software, that is m$ allright. But its a legitimate strategy, keeping in mind that windows users are not even aware that viruses should be patched by OS manufacturer, not by norton, kaspersky or NOD.

...
I use Kaspersky Pure with trial reset, so great
best to use a multi purpose protection kit not just anti-virus. so far imo the best is KIS
avast, I have used the free version for many years and now I switched to the pro one, very good ....
I'm just using Microsoft Security Essentials for my Win7 machine.
I used to use Avira Antivir Free, and Nod32 (but that got too tiring to maintain).
NOD32 for sure but I switched to AVG afterwards. NOD is definately the best AV but there are some many options and setting that you must know how to configure right that I had to uninstall. AVG is not as good but it requires less maintenance.
most of you don;t know are talking about
just to finish this any AV is good if it's updated ..
i'm sure if i tell you antivirus you never heard of it...
Not entirely true because there are a couple real "dogs" out there and also several "good" ones that still give more false positives than you probably want to live with.
I've been using Avira lately after years of Nod - this after test driving almost everything else and all I have to say is that I am happy with the decision so far .
I also moved to Comodo firewall after long Agnitum Outpost loyalty ( again after testing most with a brief stop on Online Armor - which after a while started to adversely effect my system btw) and am likewise well pleased .

Respect my lack of authority.
Best Antivirus Software is BitDefender
