+1 Windows Defender is built in windows 10 and working great, no need for 3rd party software

True, Defender is good enough, even if you can't turn it off without resorting to group policies. I'm surprised antivirus companies haven't sued Microsoft over bundling it with Windows yet.

Defender as it's been said. ESET if you want something more because you love just randomly clicking links and opening exe's people send to you.

I have used Bitdefender & Kaspersky for a while. Its detection rate is pretty good.

A lot of them slow your machine down. I just use defender and then scan with Malwarebytes ah hoc.
