I sent a pm to someone about es5 (the address) and the link was changed to spam
Seems a bit much to censor our pm's, or is there no way around it?
TD
just replace the http with h**p
that might help
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>BLAH</span>
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>Wayne Rooney - A thug and a thief</span>
i realy think that is the most dogiest rule on this forum i mean addign in the *** should not make it any different

if you need to add to the link to make it work, it's no longer a "direct" link...
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>BLAH</span>
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>Wayne Rooney - A thug and a thief</span>
I thought it only applied to posts though, not PM's....
Word filters are applied to any communication here, to avoid spam. For example, try typing www, netweiser, com with full stops instead of commas and you'll see what I mean.Originally posted by barbarossa@7 November 2003 - 09:31

If an address is autoreplaced, it generally means we've had spam problems in the past with people promoting that link.
Word filters can only be applied by administrators, so there will be no argument - these guys own the board and as such, they make the rules.

The censor function does not work differently for PMs and posts, it works the same for both.
Also then we don't accept (hinted) links to obviously illegal websites or material.if you need to add to the link to make it work, it's no longer a "direct" link...
ES5 is not illegal, but also better unknown.
edited by Lamsey to clarify the English - hope you don't mind, VB

To back up what Lamsey says, I'll demonstrate below.
The line below this had the URL inputted in - Below is the result (I just hope it works )
[SPAM]
EDIT: Yep, it works - Anyone who types in the URL to spam boy's site should now get the [SPAM] tag written instead

Instead of www.[spam], I think it'd be better to use [MALWARE]
