Use Replay media catcher if your looking to download files and save it as it can rip audio, video & flash files from any online streaming site, s/w is available in IPT

thanks for the info, hadnt heard of this software before, am going to give it a try. descriptions ive read say "It's Easy: Just click "Start Recording", then play your media, and an exact digital copy is downloaded to your hard disk. Just like that. " does that mean if youve got a crappy connection and it buffers part way through then that will be on the ripped copy? or is it like FlashGot that often just needs you to click play for the file to show up in the program? im going to try this software anyway but anymore info would be great

Nope. The videos you stream in YouTube or any similar sites are actually video files that are played as they download. Buffering takes place when the Flash-based player doesn't have enough data to keep on playing them (slow connection, lag, etc.)

What programs like the one Shinzen mentioned do is downloading the stream as if it was any other file. Therefore you won't see pauses on it or anything.

Good info guys, thanks! SVTPlay have some really good documentaries. Haven't thought of this before. Now you don't have to worry about material being deleted due to license rights when you can simply rip it and save it.

I don't know if it was intentional or not by you iLOVENZB, but good tips there on the documentary.
