If climbing can be termed a sport then Touching the Void if not the The Fighter with a nod to Friday Night Lights.
Both Million Dollar Baby and The Wrestler are too much a downer for me.

I really admired Million Dollar Baby but think that the boxing aspect was almost peripheral to what was essentially a character study (or even a love story).

Thanks I've never heard of it ,I'll check it out. For some reason climbing and oddly surfing tends to generate some great movies.

I'm not acrophobic- just height averse- but I found the climbing sequences in North Face almost unbearably realistic and intense.
I do not understand how people do that for fun.
