Nothing like a good defrag to show it who's boss.

Oh.
That's not good.
Does your defrag app have the option to perform a boot-time defrag?
That should go much more quickly as it isn't working around Windows.

Defragmenter Pro Plus does its business during a bootup so if it is still going I'd say that is one muh'fuh of a fragmented drive!Originally posted by clocker@9 November 2003 - 18:02

@ DWk
I know another hour or so seems like a long time but with a seriously fragmented drive the program could take that long. It might not look like it's doing anything but sometimes it doesn't yet is still working away.
if your font size is this small i'll add you to my ignore list because you're wasting my time, OK?
well i stopped it.... i think the best should leave it at night
k i left it at night but i dont think it worked...... its a little faster but the problem is still there....![]()

Did you try a different brand of disk yet?
That would be too easy.Originally posted by InverseKinetix@10 November 2003 - 09:07
Did you try a different brand of disk yet?
Apparently we're going straight to the complicated solutions first.
Although....even if a different brand disk solved the burn time problem, he is still faced with what appears to be a world record fragmented disk.
This might require a whole new PC.
