Anyone else notice that Supernews is now claiming 800 days on their front page?

Didn't Supernews used to cheaper than Astraweb? Otherwise what's the point of Giganews offering a cheaper alternative, if now it's even more expensive than Astraweb, while offering less retention?

That (may) have prompted a retention change as well.

Guess it depends on where you look just like with any other service. A quick Google search for "supernews deal" turns up this for $9.99/mo: http://www.supernews.com/superspecial.html

Deals are out there, the providers just want you to find them.

Ahh gotcha. Kind of like the Astraweb special as well, you have to search for it.

I simply increase the number of active connections (usenetnow gives 50) and still manage to max out my dsl line. So no, no problems here.

Supernews is Oldnews - this is really not that big of a deal...Supernews is backended by Giganews this was just a matter of time before Giganews turned up their retention..
