Are you sure it's not some packing material that was stuck to the screen when you took it out of the box?
Seriously though, I still think it's just a matter of using the controls on the monitor to stretch the image. It could also possibly be that the refresh rate is set wrong, but I doubt that.

Could my refresh rate be down?
Thats not a question? Nightwolf said my refresh rate could be down and I said " could it be down" meaning how can I know about it.
