haha what i meant to say is that both firefox and chrome consume big amount of ram .

The only difference is that chrome loads faster

Slightly off-topic, but anyone else noticed Opera becoming a complete piece of shit with version 11.10? It crashes for things like closing a damn tab.

I'm considering switching to something else, maybe Firefox.

I used to run a rig with only 512MB of ram, Firefox was unbearable with 5 or more tabs open Chrome on the other hand seemed to run flawlessly.

I'm now running on 8GB of RAM, needless to say I don't really think about performance issues .

Firefox interface (old one, 3.xx version) + Chrome speed = Perfect web browser

I've given up hope for Opera a long time ago. They seem to pointlessly insist on their closed-source strategy and to be honest it doesn't feel too trustworthy.

I wouldn't mind them not releasing the source code if version 11 was as stable as the previous ones. Before the current branch I had only seen the crash report dialog twice in five years.

I can not agree with you! They both have its own advantages! It is not that kind of situation!

They both have its own advantages! No one can judge it like this!
