Imageshack finished becoming a piece of shit with their last changes. I'd strongly suggest people begin using other image hosting services now.

Never had that problem (back when I used FF, of course). I suppose you can try a clean install, or disable your extensions one-by-one to see if any of them is causing this.

That was good shit if you compare them with what they're now.

I never really like the imageshack, yet it was usefull. There are hundreds of alternatives ready and willing to take their place.

back to topic, I still think firefox doing pretty good, yet it have this bloated feeling. To be honest I'm pretty impressed by the fact it can still run even with a clusterfuck of addons. I think they should have less external addons and more built in stuff. Also I'm pretty happy to see this “Do Not Track” ff 4beta, its just about time.

I think FF is still a powerful browser.

Keeping up with the advancement of hardware efficiency wouldn't raise the issues such as this though its kinda inevitable because still the demand is exceeding the supply.

Its one of the league of free online services that in their desire of monopoly broke down in the competition.Rapidshare has just ended up tasting the black salt of the competition and still they are not ready to compromise, I have heard their staff wont allow resume for free downloads where as megaupload/mediafire has that feature from very beginning.

Firefox is the best browser ive ever used.Tested them all and i ended up with firefox and chrome but chrome i use only in rare cases.
Firefox and chrome with 5 tabs open consume about the same memory. Somewhere around 350 Mb .... i took a pic of how much my FF is eating after 6 hours of being on .... and its the same amount

The title of this topic is misleading and as we've probably figured out by now garbage on it's own. I wouldn't want a browser war starting here so let's not compare Firefox and Chrome at all. At the very least of it, this thread is advertising and is as such not grounds for an intelligent discussion anyhow.

I'd also like to say that if you want features, you should be prepared to make sacrifices; your computer memory in this case. Nobody is forcing you to use any of the browsers - the options are out there, the facts as well - it's up to you to make the choice and when picking software you should note what your computer can and what it can't handle, instead of blaming it on the developers. They are not here to cater to your every need as they are programming for a wider array of consumers.

So far it's still open-source; feel free to change it to your will if you don't like it.
