Actually, Microsoft has filed a complaint against Apple's "App Store" trademark application, claiming the name is too generic. I don't know how this story ended, however.

yh i no bout that but since Microsoft have already got screenshots of them using 'app store' which is a patented trademark from apple i don't think that the judge will be kind to microsoft

I didn't think MS would jump on the App Store bandwagon but I guess it's inevitable
