    Yes, you can change your habits (even if you&#39;re NOT a nun)-do you want to?

    There are only 2 ways to do this (3 in a few cases):

    1) Exercise extreme will and kick that habit&#39;s ass like John Wayne.

    2) Suffer a S.E.E. (Significant Emotional Experience); literally, a life-altering event of some kind that results in something akin to "seeing the light". This method is unpredictable, at best.

    In the case of chewing your fingernails, an example of the "3rd" option might be surgical removal of your fingernails or teeth.

    These constitute all of the available options, I believe.
